WELCOME

I am a collaborative therapist which means that together we will work to get beneath the layers of depression, anxiety, and low self-esteem that may keep you from living the successful life you deserve. Our relationship is crucial to making this process work.

I strive to create a nurturing environment where you can feel safe to explore your issues. Once trust is established, you will lead the way to uncovering the truth about yourself and your relationships. I offer guidance, support, coaching, psycho-education, and at times a different perspective. Together we can handle any obstacle that you encounter.

Areas Of Expertise & Specialties

  • My background and experience have provided me with expertise in the area of eating disorders, body image difficulties and disordered eating. More specifically, my work as a nutritional consultant has provided me additional insight into these pervasive problems.

  • I treat people of all ages who are challenged with anxiety. I have a toolbox filled with ways to help you self-regulate when you feel out of control.

  • I am a certified therapist for mindfulness practices. With the breath as our guide, learn and practice the nine inter-related attitudinal factors that form the foundation of mindfulness.

  • I have been married for 48 years years and raised two children who are now adults. I am also a grandmother with five wonderful grandchildren.

  • I will teach you the seven skills of mindful eating throughout our time together. Together we can figure out what works best for you.

  • Together we can find answers to some of the difficult questions that may arise, using Metta meditation. Metta means loving-kindness, and this therapy can calm deep worries and fears and help us move towards a renewed sense of wellbeing.

GRANDPARENTING — RENEW, RELIVE, REJOICE: “52 Ways To Mindfully Connect & Grow With Your Grandkids”

I have currently co-writen a book on mindful grandparenting, entitled Grandparenting: Renew, Relive, Rejoice—52 Ways to Mindfully Grow and Connect with Your Grandkids. It became available on November 15th 2019 by Koehler Books, and a 2nd book will be available soon.

I raised two children without knowing anything about being mindful or present. Now I have five wonderful grandchildren and I have a chance to do things differently. Our book is about mindful moments to help grandparents and parents be more present in their lives with loved ones. It is especially important today with all the distractions we face on a daily basis.
